Deer Designer is a subscription-based design service that provides businesses with their very own professional design team. Our clients range from entrepreneurs and small businesses to marketing agencies and content creators. We are expanding our creative team and looking for a talented video editor and animator who can bring stories to life and create visually stunning content that captivates audiences.

Job Summary

➡️ This position is Full-Time (Remote in the Philippines)

• Video editing:
  • Edit raw footage into polished videos with seamless transitions, color grading, sound design, and other post-production techniques.
  • Cut, rearrange, and refine footage for social media, ads, YouTube, presentations, and more.
• Animation and motion graphics:
  • Create engaging animations, including explainer videos, kinetic typography, logo animations, and animated infographics.
  • Design custom motion graphics that enhance storytelling and messaging.
• Collaboration and communication:
  • Work closely with the creative team and marketing team to understand project goals and requirements.
  • Implement feedback and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Quality control:
  • Ensure all video and animation deliverables meet brand guidelines and quality standards.
• Innovation:
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in video editing, animation, and content creation tools to ensure fresh and modern output.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in video editing and animation.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Filmora or DaVinci Resolve.
• Expertise in animation tools like Adobe After Effects
• Knowledge of Descript is desirable.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
• Solid knowledge of sound design and audio editing tools like Audition or GarageBand.
• Experience creating content optimized for various platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A portfolio showcasing a range of video editing and animation projects (mandatory).

Preferred Skills

• Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Familiarity with 3D animation and rendering.
• Experience working in an agency or client-facing environment.
• Knowledge of social media trends and algorithms.
