Deer Designer is a global, 100% remote agency providing high-volume, high-quality graphic design to startups worldwide. We believe that speed shouldn't compromise quality.
We are looking for a Junior Creative Quality Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between client expectations and our production team’s execution. You aren't just finding mistakes; you are providing the coaching and constructive feedback necessary to help our designers produce their best work every single day.
Crucial Clarification: This is a non-designing role. Your portfolio will be used to verify your deep understanding of design principles, but your daily tasks will focus strictly on reviewing, auditing, and guiding the output of others.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Interpret & Verify: You will review incoming ticket revisions against the designs produced, ensuring the designer has interpreted the client's instructions accurately and completely.
- Coach Through Feedback: Instead of just marking errors, you will provide clear, constructive, and encouraging feedback that helps designers avoid repeating mistakes.
- Holistic Brand Stewardship: Evaluate submissions not just for technical flaws, but for overall adherence to client brand guidelines and high aesthetic standards.
- Process Improvement: Maintain daily QA Scorecards to track team performance trends and collaborate with Team Leaders to develop training solutions for recurring issues.
- Client Advocacy: When things go wrong, you will write clear Client Issue Reports and coordinate with production to ensure the resolution exceeds expectations.
The Profile We Are Looking For:
- The Growing Creative: 2-3 years of total experience in the graphic design trenches (print/web/digital), so you know exactly what it takes to create great work.
- The QA Specialist: At least 6 months of dedicated experience in a role focused on quality control, art direction, or design auditing.
- Technical Fluency: You have mastered Adobe Creative Suite and Figma—you know how files should be structured for efficiency and scalability.
- The Communicator: You can deliver critical feedback in a way that is clear, professional, and motivating, even over chat or email.
Why Top Talent Joins Deer Designer:
- True Remote Stability: A permanent WFH position with a stable, London-headquartered company.
- Competitive Benefits: HMO coverage (after 6 months), Christmas bonus, and performance incentives.
- Generous Leave: 15 days paid leave + 10 unpaid days + 2 sick/emergency days annually (after 6 months).
- Growth Culture: We invest in your development in a diverse, supportive environment.
Our Hiring Process: We value your time and aim for a clear, efficient experience. Here is what to expect:
- Application & Portfolio Review: We’ll look for your eye for detail and design depth.
- Skills Assessment: A practical test focusing on Design QA and English communication skills.
- Recruiter Interview: A conversation about your experience and fit with our remote culture.
- Hiring Manager Interview: A deeper dive into your technical QA methodology.
- The Offer: If it’s a match, we welcome you to the Deer Designer family!
